Pilot Peak Hosts University of Utah MBA Students

Pilot Peak Hosts University of Utah MBA Students(April 26, 2006, Wendover, Nevada) -- The Pilot Peak Plant recently hosted a group of MBA students from the David Eccles School of Business, University of Utah MBA Career Management Program for a tour of Graymont's Pilot Peak Lime plant.

The ten students were accompanied by Bryan Eldredge, Director of the WorkNet Program and Assistant Director of the MBA Career Management Program. Bryan enthusiastically described the tour as "the capstone event" and "one of the best experiences the students had during their academic year," in which they and the rest of the MBA students in the program had the opportunity to tour 22 other businesses.

Salt Lake City personnel, Jeff Higgs and Gerald VanCampen from Marketing, and Jennifer Holdaway from Finance, escorted the group to the plant. Plant personnel provided the students with answers to their many questions about Graymont and the Lime and Limestone business.

The students were impressed with the incredible variety of applications for lime, and were very interested in the relationships that businesses had with each other, such as those between Graymont and its customers. Also high on the list of "take-away" from this tour was the opportunity to hear the many personal stories from the Graymont group about their own education and career paths that brought them to this point in their lives at Graymont.
